Thanks Penny. I’m in the process of talking myself kin to doing a gloss ceiling in our dining room after seeing these pictures…
Maybe even ask Lena to do a venetian plaster ceiling… http://www.zoe-design.com/intro.html
We’re having a wonderful quiet weekend.
Catching up on a few chores around the house.
Dinner with Drew and Lindsey. Toasted Lindsey’s new job!
Hoping to find paper white bulbs for forcing at the local green house…
I’ll catch up with you on Memphis this coming week.
I spent Thanksgiving in Oklahoma City, and the ceiling of my husband’s uncle’s dining room is the most gorgeous, glossy tone – like a burnished penny.
Did you see the recent episode of Million Dollar Decorators? One of the decorators created a very glossy dining room in red. I hate red, but I did appreciate the drama.

“Like a burnished penny.”
I love that! So easy to picture in my mind…
I shy away from shows like that.
I feel they present a very unrealistic perspective of our profession and how most of us work.
Cheers,
John
