Tackling rooms with a large scale can be a challenge for designers. Legendary designer David Easton recounted on the web cast “The Skirted Round Table” how he uses a center round table to divide the space in large rooms. The round table can section the room into two areas making it easier create more intimate gathering areas. It is also a great convention for segregating a room that has multiple purposes.
We agree with Mr. Easton and love a gracious round table in just about any room. The table can be skirted or bare, but either way it provides a great opportunity for displaying books, mementos and other beautiful items. The center table offers the decorating enthusiast an opportunity to create an ever changing tablescape that can be updated with the seasons.
