We’ve noticed a design trend and it is as clear as black and white. Yes, the classic positive and negative color combination. The look is quite bold and it is not for everyone. However, it certainly does photograph well!

Earlier this month, Wilson Kelsey Design joined Stone Technologies and Steve Howell for a talk on the latest in new products and technology in home design. Our slide presentation showed some of our favorite new products, and then we showcased them in sketches of “dream rooms”. It is interesting to see how these new products can actually work within a room. Here is a sketch and some product photos of a bathroom design by John Kelsey.
The sconce pictured below is similar to the one featured in the sketch. LED lighting is the way of the future! Boyd Lighting is available through interior designers and architects.

This tub by Nic Design is inspired by the traditional Japanese soaking tub. These tubs are considered to be very comfortable. If you are looking for an eco-friendly way to take a soak, this is your tub. The tub doesn’t require much hot water. The styling is absolutely chic.

As much as I love to ski, I don’t like seeing the sun set before 6 in the evening. I love sitting outside at the end of a long day with my glass of wine, an antipaso plate or maybe a burger fresh off the grille. The other day, my friends from Gregory Lombardi Design http://www.lombardidesign.com/sent me these wonderful images of fire pits they have designed for their clients. I found myself thinking how wonderful it would be to incorporate one into our patio to take the chill of these fall evenings.
